Ever have that brilliant, ground breaking idea but nowhere to jot it down? We all do, but it’s the people that remember their ideas that can make them happen. For as little as $1, you can make your own DIY pocket journal to go wherever you do and never lose that gem of knowledge again.
This specific notebook was inspired by pocket notebooks from People for Urban Progress, where they made notebooks from a professional football team’s stadium roof! So really, you can scrounge up whatever flat, writeable surfaces you find. Now get to it!
A few tips:
1. Find some crafty patterned paper, or create your own. Great for cover durability or adding a bit of flavor to the typical dull wide ruled paper we’ve all grown to hate.
2. Learn to sew and tie knots! I’m probably preaching to the choir, but I had to use a hammer and sturdy needle for the binding.
3. Personalize it! Everyone has their own unique quirks that they can incorporate into their design somehow. I love to stay organized & sketch, so I added folders and sketchbook paper to mine. Perhaps a special clasp or page marker is just what your idea vault needs to become your own.
